I just thought I'd share a moment with you guys.
So through some work of god, my friends and I have been able to turn the school in our favor of making this year's senior class prom Star Wars themed.
This is sort of a big deal, because as long as anyone can remember, every year whoever the two people are on the prom committee have just picked one of the photo studio's default themes and put no real thought into it themselves (boring). My friends and I came along and changed that.

Obviously there are a lot of people in support of Star Wars prom, and that's great, but for every 5 of those there is 1 person who is in utter disbelief, and quite frankly, rage.

So here comes the beautiful moment.

The prom theme voting is taking place. It's like a wednesday, middle of the week, my friends and I are having fun any way we can.
So the voting is taking place at lunch, and things are getting tense. People have known about the Star Wars Prom idea since the end of last school year (around May) and this is the final hour that will decide everything.

The voting booth is in the middle of all the traffic going through the cafeteria, and it is quite the congestion. There isn't any evidence to support this yet, but there's an energy around school that Star Wars Prom is winning.

So my friends and I are standing at the booth campaigning (shouting at people to vote) for Star Wars Prom. This boring slutty chick named Ashley walks up to us. She's about five feet tall, so it's obviously funny when she recognizes us as the ringleaders and starts yelling, waving her arms, and flipping a bitch. When I confront her to try and calm her down, I notice she is how hard she is scowling from the way her dense makeup emphasizes her face. Nothing works, she is waving her arms and starting to make me laugh. Her most memorable argument is "it's just all the loser guys voting for it," as she waves her hand at some random lunch table. We all start laughing harder, and she storms off still pissed off. Right as she is turning around to leave though, my confident friend Kutz, completely indifferently, just goes "it's gonna happen," in a hilariously monotone and just audible voice. We know she heard him.

I'm answering a college app questionnaire where I have to keep each answer under 20 words. Every word is valuable.

I want to say that architects have to learn to design buildings that can withstand attrition, but I'm not sure if that's the right use of the word. I looked it up and I'm kind of on the fence about it but it's a cool word so I am tempted to keep it.

Anyone got some insight if I'm using the word "attrition" correctly? Thanks ahead of time I love you guys c:

This holiday season I am going to be giving back to this wonderful community that is deviantART. That's right! As the snow hits the ground I will be criticizing with seasonal style! And you get to pick what!

The first 20 people are served. Pick out any deviation, your own or someone else's, and if I find it captivating in any way, I will critique it. For this reason I suggest you choose wisely because everybody only gets to pick one. And don't worry about whether or not it has crits enabled, I can always just write a friggin comment and use star emotes. And don't worry I'm easily captivated; just don't pick a shitty rimfrost comic or saturdayx photo.

I will try not being as harsh as I have been on my first two crits. I just recently realized how much I enjoy crituging, and that's a total win-win because well-written critiques tend to be useful to artists that are worth anything.

And I will not try to be negative. I have nothing wrong with writing a positive critique if I like the artwork. Fellow artists at school get compliments from me all the time, but that kind of quality isn't as prominent here on our beloved internet. So again, unless you wanna see me be a dick for comedic value, pick something worthwhile.

I'll start as soon as I finish this godamn Carnegie Mellon app, and will probably be doing these on and off until New Year's. Give me something fun!

If this doesn't work out then I'm giving up and never trying anything like this again.
